Here are a few images of Albuquerque classic cars captured at a recent classic car show held in Old Town, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and other locations in and around Albuquerque. I don’t think there is a finer place to enjoy classic cars than in the Route 66 culture that Albuquerque is so well known for.
In truth, New Mexico is a wonderful state for viewing vintage cars and trucks against a backdrop of adobe-colored cities and colorful desert landscapes. More photos to come! All photos by Don Peterson (the man in the Panama hat).
I captured the two photos of this stylish Albuquerque classic car seen below in front of a tattoo parlor on Central Avenue (the old Route 66) in Nob Hill.
The photo below was captured during a winter weekend getaway in Taos, New Mexico. This old gas station has been turned into a museum of sorts, and has this wonderful display of vintage vehicles and signs.
The Albuquerque Classic Car shown below was seen in Old Town, Albuquerque, New Mexico on a golden summer afternoon. There is something so seductive about the combination of an adobe architecture backdrop and a freshly waxed hot-rod!
The photo below shows a hood detail from a hot-rod seen in Old Town, Albuquerque during a summer car show.
