Rio Grande Botanic Garden

Rio Grande Botanic Garden

The Rio Grande Botanic Garden currently encompasses 20 developed acres, including a 10,000 square foot glass conservatory housing native and exotic plants from desert and Mediterranean climate zones and a seasonal butterfly conservatory featuring hundreds of free-flying North American butterflies and moths. This photo was taken in January of 2005 in the Conservatory. The indoor Conservatory has perfect light for photographing the many species of plants featured during the winter months.
