The Old Route 66 Car Show was held in Nob Hill, Albuquerque today, as part of the Route 66 Summerfest. This show had it all… classic Chevy & Ford trucks & cars, DeSoto’s. Hudsons, Mustangs, muscle cars, rat rods, hot rods, lowriders & more! Plus, there was live music and refreshments on a picture perfect Albuquerque summer day. What more could you ask for! Nob Hill is one of Albuquerque, New Mexico’s star Route 66 attractions, and the perfect host for this annual car show. The photos here show some of my personal favorites at the event.
This annual event, as part of the Route 66 Summerfest, is sponsored by the city of Albuquerque, Nob Hill Main Street, and the New Mexico Jazz Festival. The live entertainment was excellent, and a perfect backdrop for the car show.
During the Route 66 Summerfest, all traffic is diverted from Central Ave (Route 66) in Nob Hill, turning the street into an open air festival.
I will be adding more photos of the Old Route 66 Car Show in the near future. If you would like a copy of any of the photos seen here, please email me or visit my photography website StylePeterson.com. I will be uploading hi-resolution copies of these digital images on that website throughout the week. All photos by Don Peterson, the man in the white hat…
