November 22, 2009Colorful Clunkers, Jemez, New Mexico
November 11, 2009This New Mexico photo shows a collection of rusted old clunkers in a small town in the Jemez Mountains, New Mexico. Sunset colors provided a mellow setting for these colorful rust buckets. New Mexico is, to my eye, the ideal backdrop for these beautiful old relics. The state has a landscape just perfect for these nostalgic settings. This photo was captured with a Pentax K100D and 50-200mm lens.

Within the little towns and enclaves of this area you can find charming relics that reflect the less harried, simpler pace of life in this area. Of course, I am drawn to any setting that contains an ancient rusted truck or car!
