This New Mexico Photo shows a view of the red rock of Jemez Mountains, New Mexico adorned with beautiful sunlight. The Jemez is one of my favorite destinations in New Mexico, blessed with a amazing diversity of quietly beautiful natural features. This setting is from the red rock buttes on the Jemez Pueblo.

Jemez, New Mexico in Beautiful Light
November 22, 2009Junk Trucks, Jemez, New Mexico
November 11, 2009This New Mexico photo shows a scene from one of my favorite places in New Mexico, the Jemez Mountains. Within the little towns and enclaves of this area you can find charming relics that reflect the less harried, simpler pace of life in this area. Of course, I am drawn to any setting that contains an ancient rusted truck or car!
Jemez In The Winter
October 7, 2009This setting shows a trail in the Jemez Mountains, New Mexico with a popular fishing stream just behind it. It is essentially the same location as in this Jemez Mountains photo, which was shot in the summer. In any season, unique color palette of this Jemez red rock setting is visually captivating! Photo captured with the Nikon D40 and 18-55m lens.
My Jemez Red Rock Memories
October 6, 2009Being able to enjoy the artistic red rock vistas of the Jemez Mountains in New Mexico is better than a movie with free popcorn! This photo shows a trail in the Jemez Mountains that leads to a popular fast-moving stream that is great for fishing. The beauty of the red rock and clay make this an uncommonly beautiful area. New Mexico’s Jemez Mountains are quietly beautiful and perhaps for that reason they are not as well known as more popular New Mexico attractions. They are one of my endearingly favorite getaways, less than an hour from Albuquerque. This image was captured with the Nikon D40 and 18-55mm kit lens.
