Here is one of my favorite photos from an afternoon in Central Park, New York City. A light rain and overcast conditions added to beautiful soft glow to this scene showing horse and carriage drivers waiting for customers. The natural light softly illuminates the background beautifully. Captured with Nikon D60 and kit lens.

This photo shows Gapstow Bridge, in Central Park. The stone span of Gapstow Bridge curves gracefully over the narrow neck of the Central Park Pond. Facing south, it offers the quintessential view of the city, with the Plaza Hotel and other towers rising behind the backdrop of trees reflected, amidst the ducks, in the waters of the Pond. This photo was captured on an overcast day with light rain that added a soft light and romantic mood to this setting.
